I bought this bike this year. A few weeks after I bought it I hit one of the pedals on a hidden railroad tie that was hidden by a low bush while dodging a poorly placed power pole. I didn't go down but a week later I found a crack on the back of the downtube. The local sales guy said it isn't covered by the lifetime frame warranty so I'm SOL. Wish I had bought aluminum, steel, or titanium. Otherwise great bike. Smooth ride. Great value. Decent components. Fast.

This is an update to my review on Oct 10, 2007. A few months after the outside sales rep sort of made it sound like the frame wouldn't be replaced I took the bike back to the dealer and they seemed confident that Giant would replace it. Three days later they had upgraded me to an OCRc0 at no charge! I love my bike!
