Mitsubishi introduced a Ralliart, or motor sport version, of the Galant at the 2004 SEMA show which the company intends to bring into production for the 2006 model year. With its rear spoiler, side skirts, wire mesh grille and special front and rear fascias, this flashy variant of Mitsubishi's sedan is aimed at roping in younger buyers. The engine is a 3.8-liter V6, capable of 260 horsepower, which the Galant Ralliart will share with the 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The powertrain is rounded out with a six-speed manual transmission. Other performance-oriented features include Racing Hart F10 wheels, Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires, a Ralliart exhaust along with a custom air intake, a rear stabilizer bar, cross-drilled rotors, a coil-over spring suspension and Brembo four-piston front brakes -- but don't get too excited as most of these parts aren't likely to remain on the production version.
