I will probably buy this bike in the next few weeks.  It seem like the best buy.  I like that it has name brand brakes, rims, and fork.  Any other opinions?

Hey,

This definitely seems like a good value for the price.  Specialized bikes have been around for a long time, and are a pretty trusted brand I believe.  And like you said, everything is pretty standard and name brand on the bike, so unless there are some weird faults or something, this bike should be fine.  As always, if it's possible you should check out the bike in real life first just to make sure the frame suits you well and you like the look and all of that.

Let us know how it goes when you buy it!

There seems to be good reviews of the Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc, which I think is the model below this one: Just bought, first impressions and this one.

i dont know if anyone else has had this problem, but it seams that alot of people around this area are having problems with the left crank arm coming loose, mine came loose on a ride and i did my best to tighten it up with the tools that i had, but the damage was done, so the local bike shop is taking care of me. but this is a problem covered by teh warranty
