When I was a kid, all bikes were BMX. You had one speed, coaster brakes, and no inches of shock travel, but you could build a ramp and take sweet jumps. Remember the movie ET anyone? The BMX chase scene wouldn't be the same on a mountain bike.

I would give it another whirl if I had a brand new one though since the technology has improved (and it wouldnt be built from garbage bikes).
