Well the subwoofer is wired to all the speakers and to the control panel... the control panel is wired to the PC

No you dont need any cables and the subwoofer does not create any buzz ... if your sound card is OK and does not create any static you will have no problem.. I have been using the Z5500 for more then a year and I must say I never regret buying it ... the speakers are just amazing
