Acer Aspire 1820P
$599.00
Released December, 2009
The Pros:Convertible multi-touch touchscreen display. Great battery life - like the rest of the Timeline series. HDMI output.
The Cons:HDMI is most likely useless for outputting HD media due to slower processor and graphics. Poor Intel GMA graphics. Uses older DDR2 memory.
The Acer Aspire 1820P is a thin and light laptop featuring a 11.6” display. It is extremely similar in specifications to the Aspire 1410 and Aspire 1810T, save for the fact that the 1820P hosts a convertible multi-touch display designed to work with the Windows 7 operating system.

Like its peers, it hosts an Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 250GB SATA hard-disc drive. It’s especially geared towards business professionals, as it includes Acer Video Conferencing via a built-in webcam and microphone. It’s not, however, suited for intense video content. Its integrated Graphics Accelerator only hosts 64MB of memory, which is too low for modern games. And what with the 1.4GHz processor, the 1820P doesn’t fare exceptionally well with HD or YouTube content either. On the bright side, the unit does include an HDMI interface for those who may wish to try.
