- stays true to the small size and weight of the original eee, yet includes many of the advanced features included as the series progressed
- powered by Atom, better resolution than original eee (same as larger 10" version), large disk, includes better 1.3MP webcam over the 900A

- no bluetooth or wireless N
- to date availability has been poor
- disk drive is more easily broken than solid state alternative
