The F-22 is the flagship Ferrari monitor released by Acer in fall of 2008. The F-22 features a 22” widescreen display at a 16:10 aspect ratio, and a maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050. The contrast ratio is rated at 2000:1, meaning users will see distinct blacks and whites. The F-22 has a 2-millisecond response time, which allows for strong alleviation of blurring commonly produced by modern games. This monitor can display both digital and analog content using the DVI-D or VGA port, respectively. HDMI input is also accepted, allowing for the monitor to be used as a HDTV for an Xbox 360, PS3 or other high definition devices. The Ferrari F-22 monitor complies with Energy Star standards, using 55 watts of power when on and 2 watts when in standby mode. While this monitor is generally perceived to have above-average image definition and color quality, it is also thought to be overpriced when compared to other 22” monitors.
