The Acer P224W is a 23" LCD computer monitor released in early 2009. This monitor is capable of displaying a minimum of 720p HD content, due to its 1680 x 1050 pixel resolution. The aspect ratio of the P224W is set at 16:10, meaning it's capable of displaying widescreen video content while still maintaining enough vertical space to be useful for productivity applications and web browsing. The response time is rated at 5ms, while the refresh rate is rated at 75Hz. Generally, this monitor has been designed for a wide variety of uses, but it could be used for light gaming if required. Physically, the display is encased in a glossy black bezel. Video inputs include one VGA port and one DVI port. HDCP is supported over the digital connection for DRM-protected content. For the energy conscious, users will be glad to know the Acer P224W uses 30 watts of power, and less than 1 watt when idle.
