The Adidas Superskate was first introduced in the 1970s when skateboarding was mostly a fad in Southern California and people didn't give it much weight in terms of a 'real' sport. Fast-forward 30 years and skateboarding has become a staple in our society, sparking an industry of clothes, shoes and everything in between. The newly designed Superskate forsakes laces for a slip-on design with a soft suede for the material. The sole is made of vulcanized rubber, which is a process that cures the rubber with high heat and crosses it with sulfur to create a harder material that is more durable and resistant to chemicals.
