AIAIAI TMA-1

$200.00 Released August, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Minimalist 'monolithic' aesthetic - fully blacked out with no visible branding. Solid, simple construction for enhanced durability. Removable ear pads - can be replaced when worn out.

The Cons:Closed-back design doesn't breath like open phones do - generally sounds more solid, and thuddy. On-ear rather than over-ear design (supra rather than circum-aural). Can't be folded for quick and easy storage during transportation.

The TMA-1 is a pair of on-ear headphones from the AIAIAI company. Engineered specifically for DJing and other professional audio mixing applications, this model features a minimalist matte black design and includes both leather and synthetic ear pads to suit different environments.

The durable leather pads are intended for live performance use, while the soft synthetic pads are better suited to extensive studio work settings. A set of 40mm drivers is included to ensure clear and balanced frequency outputting with well-represented low-end for improved accuracy when equalizing audio tracks. The TMA-1 also includes two types of cables: a 1.7-meter coiled cable for studio and performance use, and a 1.2-meter cable with a built in microphone for native Apple iPhone support when the headset is being used for casual listening. While the unit's stock connectivity type is 1/8" stereo mini, a 1/4" adapter is included for professional situations. A heavy-duty carrying pouch is also included with purchase.
