The AKG K 512 is a set of closed-back, dynamic headphones that are part of AKG's Wired line. They are similar to the K 514 except they have a closed, or 'sealed' design and they are slightly cheaper. Well-suited for noisy listening environments due to their closed architecture, the K 512 are also ideal for portable media players because of the 32 ohm impedance which is standard with most players. They are lightweight and are designed with leatherette ear pads and adjusting headband, yet are still capable of high quality sound. The speakers are designed with NdFe magnets and can handle a maximum of 200mW at 32 ohms.
