Alan Wake is a video game in development for Xbox 360 and PC, to be released in Spring 2010. Previewed at E3 2009, it places the player in the role of Alan Wake, a best-selling suspense/mystery writer, in what promises to be an innovative psychological thriller from Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind the Max Payne series. Wake moves to a seemingly peaceful community called Bright Falls, when his wife disappears and he is pulled into a grim world of nightmarish enemies in which light becomes a central ally and weapon. The player seeks to wake from the sinister dreamscape that brings to life the darkest inventions of Alan Wake's literary imagination. More information will become available as the release date nears.
