The kit is composed of two devices: a PC USB transmitter and an HDTV HDMI receiver. Both devices connect to their respective units (transmitter-->PC, receiver-->HDTV) via USB. Once hooked up, the device can transmit 720p video content from up to 30’ away. More importantly, the NoWire kit supports UWB Band Groups 1, 3, and 6, meaning that it can be used globally. Signature to the Alereon NoWire is that it can also be used with a cell phone, digital camera, or digital video camera; the sky’s the limit. Unfortunately, the unit is only available to OEMs.
