The Alienware Area 51 m15x is a gaming laptop computer. According to PC World's review, it is "One of of the most powerful laptops yet invaded the PC World test center--and provided unearthly performance." PC World claims that the Area 51 m15x "was earning the highest performance score to date (97)." In other words, this gaming laptop is good. The performance comes from the world 's most powerful mobile graphics card, the NVDIA GeForce 9800M GTX with 512 MB of dedicated graphics. Many are saying that Alienware stands alone as the leader in high-performance computers. Product testing shows that the Area 51 m15x achieves benchmarks unsurpassed by any other notebooks in its class. Widely praised for its flexibility, it allows the user to take control using the Command Center. The Command Center controls a user friendly access port for lighting effects and power management controls, and automated downloads of updates and releases. Another innovative feature is the Smart Bay Swappable Drive: just slide out the optical drive and slide in the hot-swappable second hard drive to gain that extra performance. One of the drawbacks of this computer is its hefty 7 lbs. of weight . For gamers looking for performance and flexibility in a laptop computer, this is a hard choice to beat.
