Aligata Leather iPad Case

$60.00 Released May, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Extremely classy. Genuine leather material means it should last a while. Hand made.

The Cons:Doesn't stand in landscape mode very well. Shipping is very expensive ($30!). No stands/modifiers to increase angle when iPad is laid flat.

Hand-made in Poland the Aligata Leather iPad case uses real bovine leather and provides a simple, no nonsense design to protect your iPad. Unlike some of the other cases available, including the official Apple case, this case from Aligata offers no extra features such as a table stand or holding strap.

Product Shot 2 The design is clean and simple lacking even an identifying logo with the entire case made out of the same leather material. Similar to other leather cases, the Aligata is intended to prevent scratches and small marks and is not suitable protection from drops and smashes.

Features

  • genuine leather construction
  • hand-made in Poland
  • extremely clean design
  • proper cutaways for iPad ports and controls
  • uses an exclusive leather suspension system to absorb some impact energy through the construction of the edges (in the shape of C letter  - please take a look at this closeup). Such a solution provides additional protection in case of falling down on the edge. It should act as a "leather pillow" that amortizes the impact.

Variations

Available in Black Espresso, Nude Beauty and Nippon.

A "Black Armor" model is available that provides much more durability and protection.
