Altec Lansing InMotion Classic
The Altec Lansing InMotion Classic is an affordable and compact (13x2x6") portable iPod docking station featuring two juiced-up speakers for clear, digital sound with pulshing bass. As well as a built-in iPod/iPhone recharge/play dock, the InMotion Classic also includes a digital FM radio — with a retractable antenna, LCD display, and station presets — and an auxiliary port for hooking up a secondary audio device. Included also is a rechargeable battery for extra portability; a versatile handle that makes transporting/transferring the unit easy for anybody; and a variety of controls for operating the radio, changing songs, or adjusting volume. Most unique about the InMotion Classic is it’s remote cubby for stowing away the remote—which is definitely a first of its kind.

Pros
- handle also functions as a stand
- built in FM radio with digital tuner
- quality sound
- rechargeable battery for use off the mains for up to 5 hours (claimed)
- slick minimalist aesthetic
- magnetically shielded speakers - doesn't pick up noise or static from the iPhone or other close by devices
- includes intuitive remote control
- now compatible with the iPhone
- excellent build quality
- great reception
Cons
- always bumps the volume back up to 19 when you turn the device on - regardless of what you had it set at when you turned it off
- looks like quality - but is really just made of plastic
- no alarm clock functionality
- not a huge difference between this and the previous generation offering
- remote control commands lag a bit
- smaller speakers mean bass depth and impact will be lacking for those that truly require a high end experience
