While not the flashiest of computer processors the AMD Athlon X2 4800+ makes up for it's lack of power and energy efficiency in price. Aimed at competing with Intel in the low end market, basic Athlon X2 processors such as the 4800+ cost only a fraction of what they did months ago. Not the greatest of processors for heavy encoding or gaming, but proficient for the majority of computer users.
