AMD Athlon XP 2200

The AMD Athlon XP 2200 is a desktop processor, one of several Thoroughbred-based models released in mid-2002 and today generally obsolete. Thoroughbred was the successor to Palomino, and introduced 130nm manufacturing to the Athlon line. The single-core XP 2200 clocks in at 1.80 GHz, with a front side bus speed of 266 MT/s. For the B version, thermal design power is rated at 62.8 W. Compared to the Barton processors of the following generation, Thoroughbreds lacked only a larger, 512 KB L2 cache. All models support MMX, SSE, and Enhanced 3DNow! technology.
