The AMD Athlon XP 2600 is a desktop processor, one of several Thoroughbred-based models released in mid-2002 and today generally obsolete. Thoroughbred was the successor to Palomino, and introduced 130nm manufacturing to the Athlon line. The single-core XP 2600 clocks in at 2.13 GHz, with a front side bus speed of 266 MT/s. A Barton-core version of the 2600 is also available, and it features a 333MT/s FSB and 512KB L2 cache, but a 1.92GHz core. For the B version, thermal design power is rated at 68.3 W. All models support MMX, SSE, and Enhanced 3DNow! technology.
