The Phenom II X4 805 is a high-end quad-core desktop processor, one of several new 45nm Deneb-based models introduced by AMD in 2009. The processor frequency clocks in at 2.5 GHz, with a 1MB L2 and 4MB shared L3 cache, and 95W thermal design power. Cool'n'Quiet technology decreases noise and heat output, while HyperTransport 3.0 technology scales performance to reduce power consumption. It also features EVP, for CPU-level virus protection.
