it's rating is around 3,000 on the PassMark CPU Lookup

early Phenom IIs meant as interm release - only good for those who desire to keep their high performance mainboard, ram etc... upgrading from a higher-end dual core?
no lower power model - designed for higher performance only

Cons

not as good as the 720 black edition for overclocking enthusiasts
95W TDP is the same as higher clocked X3 720 BE and X4 parts
limited selection of available AM3 motherboards - also quite expensive
