The AMD Phenom X4 9500 was the slowest of the two AMD first-generation quad core processors initially released. Due to the TLB bug found within the first B2 stepping release, however, the release of the chip was met with lackluster fanfare. While still a considerable powerhouse CPU, the 9500 was replaced with a later B3 stepping core and renamed the 9550.
