The AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-68 is a top of the line, dual core 2.4GHz mobile computer processor. This is the fastest of the group in even though it shares the same power consumption rating as the TL-62/64/66(35W TDP or Thermal Design Power). Although having a seven month later release date than the other models, the technology and build are the same. 65nm Silicon-Germanium based core makes it smaller and able to run on less power, as is the case with the rest of this family. Gaming and multi-tasking are improved not only by a faster processor, but also by having a dual core. When using identical sticks of RAM, dual memory mode is enabled to access two streams of RAM at once which reduces the bottleneck data effect. These CPU's have become the main alternative to Intel's Core 2 Duo line of mobile processors owing to their comparable performance and competitive pricing. Using an integrated graphics card in conjunction with these puts them on par with the Intel mobile line in terms of performance as well.
