The AMD Turion X2 RM-70 is a 2GHz dual core processor designed for mobile computers. This series, code-named 'Puma', along with AMD's Turion Ultra came out one year after their successful X2 TL series(Ultra series is a high-end line with specs like double the RAM cache). These processors remain mostly the same as the X2 TL, based on the famous K8 technology and 65nm construction but have added features in regards to power consumption and efficiency. Firstly, three voltage planes are implemented which enables each core to reduce it's speed independently of the other almost instantly, adapting to different workloads. Deep sleep state and deeper sleep state are also new features which prolong battery and CPU life.
