The AMD Turion X2 RM-74 is a dual core, 2.2GHz mobile computer processor. 65nm technology and power saving features are standard in the Turion line. This group, code-named 'Puma' is a mid-level processor that has added energy saving features not found in previous AMD mobile CPU's. One of them is dual independent speed throttling which enables each core to change speed regardless of the other core, allowing for more efficient handling of different workloads. Dual memory controller mode is also common to the Turion line, which splits the RAM data stream into two streams, freeing up valuable memory. These processor's have remained Intel's top competition in the mobile CPU market.
