Antec soundscience rockus 3D
$250.00
Released September, 2010
The Pros:Hardware based 3Dsst mode for virtual surround. Aluminum satellites. Remote control pod.
The Cons:Short custom RCA to twisted wire pair wires (5-6 feet) - not easily found if you need a replacement or something longer. Only 2.1 - not for hardcore gamers or movie enthusiasts. 3Dsst mode is nothing to write home about - not real surround but stereo accentuation.
The Antec soundscience rockus 3D are a set of 2.1 stereo pc audio speakers which include 2 anodized aluminum satellites providing the left and right channels and an active sub woofer for the '.1' or 'bass' channel.

A small control pod is also included which lets you remotely adjust the volume level as well as turn on or off the special 3Dsst mode, which uses Antec's own 3D-tuned drivers to emulate a 3D spacial image. A 'True' Stereo mode is also available for listening to music without added effects. PS3, Xbox 360, or any other equipped devices can also be directly connected via the optical input. Set for a fall 2010 release, this is the first speaker set made by Antec, a company famous for computer cases and power supplies.
