AOC 2436Vh
$209.99
Released July, 2010
The Pros:Physical setup is very simple, don't need a tool to attach the base. Gracefully enters power saving mode when the DVI signal is lost (computer off). Renders a sharp and clear image, makes text comfortable to read.
The Cons:No height adjustment on the base, tilt adjustment is stiff. Changing settings is a bit awkward and counter-intuitive. Need to be looking at it directly, very narrow viewing angle.
The AOC 2436Vh is a mid-cost twenty-four inch computer monitor. Besides being compatible with computers, this monitor can playback video from other sources with its HDMI input. The HDMI input is one of the ways in which this model differs from the lower cost 2436Vw model, which has a lower quality DVI input.

Another way in which the 2436Vh is a step up from the 2436Vw is its pair of built-in 1.5 watt stereo speakers, which eliminate the need for buying external speakers. Features shared between the two models include a 1920 x 1080 resolution, which enables you to view 1080p content. Both monitors have a 60000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, which helps to ensure that colors will come through with depth.
