The small size allows you to take the AirPort Express with you whenever you might need a wireless network. The device also comes equipped with AirTunes, Apple's wireless music streaming technology. It has an audio minijack that can be connected to speakers, allowing you to stream music from iTunes on your PC or Mac.

- Third party applications allow streaming from any software.
Cons
- Only streams music from iTunes
- Can only adjust settings with the AirPort Admin Utility. Which runs only on Windows XP at least SP2, Windows Vista, and on the Mac (I am not sure which version).
- Expensive, but hey you probably bought a mac with this too
