The small size allows you to take the AirPort Express with you whenever you might need a wireless network. The device also comes equipped with AirTunes, Apple's wireless music streaming technology. - Third party applications allow streaming from any software.
Cons
- Only streams music from iTunes
- Can only adjust settings with the AirPort Admin Utility. Which runs only on Windows XP at least SP2, Windows Vista, and on the Mac (I am not sure which version).
- Expensive, but hey you probably bought a mac with this too
