Apple iPod Nano 2nd Gen

The 2nd generation Apple iPod Nano upgrades the already excellent player that Apple originally released.  Apple has improved upon the design in a variety of ways.  An anodized aluminum case gives the nano a more solid feel, and somehow Apple was able to shrink the device even further to only 3.5" tall and 1.6" wide. Battery life is increased to 24 hours of continuous play all the while increasing the the screen's brightness for easier use. There are three 2nd generation models: 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB. Originally released in September 2006 and retailed for $199. The most current version 4th generation Apple iPod Nano was released on September 29th, 2008

I pitched my 20G ipod classic for a 4G nano. The battery life is crazy long with the nano. Also, you can get these on the cheap (refurb) direct from Apple now that the video nanos have come out (under 100!). I have no intention of watching videos on these things, so it was definitely worth it to me to get the refurb and it saved me a lot of money.
