The Pros:Affordable price point for a Mac. 13" is the sweet spot between an ultraportable and larger desktop replacement. The same beautiful Apple design / aesthetic.
The Cons:Same crappy 1,280 x 800px resolution we've seen for a while - lower than the 13" MacBook Air (1440 x 900px), no upgrade option. Poorer graphical performance than the last generation model - downgrade from onboard Nvidia graphics to Intel. No Blu-ray optical drive (even as an option).
In Apple's February 2011 refresh of the MacBook Pro line, the 13-inch model may have undergone more significant changes than any. The new 13-inchers, available in two configurations, offer greatly enhanced processing power over their Core 2 Duo predecessors via Intel Sandy Bridge (Core i5/i7) CPUs, an HD webcam with triple the resolution of the former iSight, and Thunderbolt I/O, a USB 3.0 competitor promising ultra-fast transfer speeds.

However, while the 15" and 17" models feature upgrades to the AMD Radeon HD 6000M GPU, the 13" versions stick with integrated graphics. The 13" MacBook Pro remains intended to serve the mobile professional market, combining high-end performance with high portability: the notebook is less than an inch thick, weighs 4.5 lbs, and lasts up to 7 hours on one charge.
