Archos 70
$275.00
Released October, 2010
The Pros:Front-facing VGA camera for video chat. Android 2.2 Froyo OS- Complete customizability, really fast browser with flash, gmail apps. Enticing price-point for the spec's your getting- better value than the iPad.
The Cons:Not the full Android market place built into the device. Screen lacks responsiveness of other tablets. Unattractive, flimsy plastic build.
The Archos 70 is one of five Android Froyo tablets/PMPs that all feature the Android 2.2 ‘Froyo’ operating system and an integrated accelerometer. In particular, the 70 is quite similar to the Archos 7 Home Tablet, but it hosts an extra-large 7” capacitive multi-touch display.

Critics say this is a more pocketable version than the 101. It is also longer and slimmer than Samsung's tablet, the Galaxy Tab. More importantly, the touchscreen is more responsive, though the 70 lacks the 101's two-stage kickstand. As an upgrade from the Archos 43, the Archos 70 adds a built-in 250GB hard drive, though it trades in its predecessor’s back-facing 720p camera for a front-facing standard VGA webcam.
