Asus B53F

$1,099.00 Released August, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Handles application software with ease, has quick and snappy operation. Enough hard drive space for most people's needs. Good connectivity to wireless devices, connects right away and doesn't drop off.

The Cons:Fingerprints stay on the case, very noticeable, looks well-used right away. Case has a little flex to it, seems slightly flimsy. Can't handle gaming, poor 3D rendering capability.

The Asus B53F is one of four B series laptops (B43F, B43J, B53F, B53J) featuring Boston-Power’s long-life lithium-ion Sonata batteries that supposedly triple the lifespan of conventional laptop batteries.

It hosts a larger 15.6” (1366x768) LED display, but inherits all other components from the B43F. Included among these is an Intel Core i5-520M (2.4GHz) processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM (expandable to 8GB), and a 320GB 5400rpm SATA HDD. Like its counterpart, it’s mainly designed for business purposes, as it lacks any third party graphics, but does offer WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity in addition to advanced security options and a 2MP video-conferencing webcam.
