Asus B53J
$1,449.00
Released August, 2010
The Pros:Overall feel is solid and durable, no flex to the keyboard at all. General spacing of the keys and response of the keyboard makes for a comfortable typing experience. Hard drive is partitioned to keep the OS separate from general storage, good for staying organized.
The Cons:A bit big and bulky, cumbersome to carry around. Doesn't have any visual touches to the design to make it more attractive - boxy and utilitarian looking design. Battery life won't ever exceed a couple of hours.
The Asus B53J is one of four B series laptops (B43F, B43J, B53F, B53J) featuring Boston-Power’s long-life lithium-ion Sonata batteries that supposedly triple the lifespan of conventional laptop batteries.

It builds from the B43 models by incorporating a larger 15.6” (1366x768) LED display, but maintains all of the B43J’s components, including an Intel Core i7-620M (2.66GHz) processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM (8GB max), and a faster 320GB 7200rpm SATA HDD. It also inherits business connectivity features like a video-conferencing webcam and Bluetooth/WiFi connectivity. More importantly, it’s gamer friendly, as it incorporates a third-party ATI Mobility module that can handle most games on the market, excluding 3D.
