The Asus DR-950 is an e-book reader set for release in the later half of 2010; its price point has not been set yet. The system has a 9 inch grayscale display that is capable of both portrait and landscape orientations depending on the user's desired holding position.

The screen can display both text files and a web browser at 1024x768 resolutions and supports both touchscreen input, a virtual keyboard, and also handwriting input. Additional functionality includes a text-to-speech program, along with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a dictionary capable of real-time translation. Storage options include a 4GB of internal memory that can be expanded with the use of SD cards.
