Introduced in early March 2009 at CeBit, the Eee PC 1008HA is a new ultra-portable netbook by Asus. Intended for mobile professionals or consumers that simply can't be without an Internet connection, the 1008HA specializes in WWAN data with both 3.75G (HSPA) and WiMAX. At 1" thick and weighing in at only 2.4 pounds the device features the standard 10" screen and a 92% full keyboard. Specifications for the device are not yet solid, however the standard fare is expected. The device will cost $429.

- affordable compared to the last generation of luxury netbooks from Asus

- expensive due to 3.75G and WiMAX
- wider body due to large keyboard - creates large screen bezel
- slightly limited ports due to the thin nature of the device
- standard 10" screen with 1,024 x 600px resolution - frame allows for a larger, higher resolution panel
- not very innovative or attractive to the majority of consumers
