The Asus EeeBox PC EB1012 is second of two nettops added to the EeeBox series in mid 2009. It is in fact the first EeeBox to incorporate nVidia’s ION platform; which gives it the power to better handle high-definition graphics without difficulty. Included also is an Intel Atom N330 dual-core processor (1.6GHZ per core), 2GB of DDRII RAM (upgradeable to 4GB), and a 160GB SATA-II hard-disc drive. Suffice it to say, the EB1012 is the fastest, most powerful, and versatile nettop currently available in the EeeBox series; not to mention that it is the first to sport a dual-core processor. Additional notable aspects include a S/PDIF 5.1-channel audio output, wired/wireless connectivity, and a 5-in-1 card reader.
