The Asus G53JW is a high-end 15.6" gaming laptop released in fall 2010 as an upgrade to the original G53. The G53JW mainly offers enhanced 3D-ready graphics, via one of Nvidia's new DirectX 11-optimized mobile Fermi cards.

Product Shot 2 Both the G53JW and the 17.3" G73JW utilize the 1.5GB GDDR5 GeForce GTX 460M. The notebook is available with one of several processors from Intel's 2010 lineup, ranging from a 2.13GHz Core i3 to an overclocked 2.66GHz quad-core i7. The G53JW comes with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory and an optional Blu-ray drive to take advantage of an (optionally) 1080p, LED-backlit display. Bluetooth and 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity, in addition to an HDMI output, are standard. The laptop is not very portable, weighing 7.9 lbs with an 8-cell battery.
