Asus' M2N-E motherboard is targeted towards overclockers that will sacrifice expensive components for the flexibility to tweak. As a result there are many features and software systems included that make adjusting voltage values, and various frequencies an open process. Furthermore, multiple BIOS configurations can be stored and reloaded depending on what kind of tasks you'll be performing. Reflashing the BIOS can be done through a USB memory stick precluding the need for a full BIOS replacement in case your BIOS gets messed.

Details
When this board launched in the summer of 2006 there were many reported problems with stability and misleading marketing in regards to the amount of flexibility available with modifying the voltage. The latest BIOS updates (the latest being v1001) address many of the stability issues that can cause unpredictable reboots. However, some issues are hardware based, most notably the vDIMM setting is limited to 1.95V which is lower than the marketing material reports.
In general overclockers found that this board can work but requires a lot of care and a higher level of technical expertise than most people have. There are various "gotchas" when it comes to the voltage settings that can cause a wide variety of issues. If no overclocking is done, then most people found the board works without issue.
