Asus N53SV
$1,249.00
Released January, 2011
The Pros:Hard drive is very fast (7200rpm) and large (750GB). Powerful, current generation, Optimus enabled Nvidia GeForce GT 540M - switches on and off on-demand without user interaction for lower heat, battery conservation. Screen is large and highly detailed, very comfortable to work with.
The Cons:Keyboard has a lot of flex, isn't backlit. Lots of bloatware to uninstall when you first get it. Battery life is very short, needs to be recharged frequently.
The Asus N53SV is a premium gaming laptop released in 2010. It builds from the premium N53SN model by incorporating a slightly larger 7200rpm 750GB hard disc drive. Otherwise a duplicate, it relies on a quad-core Intel Core i7 CPU and a premium DirectX 11-compatible Nvidia GeForce graphics module to provide high-definition video/audio streaming and 3D gaming.
