The N61Vn has specs in common with the closely related N61Vg. The SonicMaster audio technology (a hallmark of the N61 series) fine-tunes sound energy, noise balance, volume and dynamic sound range, while at the same time minimizing interference and distortion. This comes out at 21cc volume from the 2-channel Altec Lansing speakers (which have SRS Premium Sound support). Another common feature between the N61Vn and the N61Vg is the NVIDIA CUDA technology, which aids in GPU computing, and makes multi-tasking and overall performance faster. Online gaming will come out in detail, and you will not have frozen screens. The Video Magic technology of this laptop increases visual quality, and enhances the quality of lesser video sources (DVD quality video will be upgraded to HD). The operating system for this laptop is Genuine Windows 7, and Asus recommends using the 64-bit version as opposed to the 32-bit version, as the 32-bit version will only recognize 3GB of the 4GB memory. This laptop is a step up from the lower cost N61Vg in terms of its processor (the N61Vn gives you the choice of the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 2GHz processor or the Intel Core 2 Duo T9600/P8800/P7450/T6600 2.8GHz-2.2GHz processor, while the N61Vg just has the Intel Core 2 Duo T9600/P8800/P7450/T6600 2.8GHz-2.2GHz processor), and graphics card (the N61VN has the NVIDIA GeForce GT240M, while the N61Vg has the NVIDIA GeForce GT220M graphics card). The Asus N61Vn comes with a two year limited hardware warranty, and a one year battery pack warranty.
