The Asus P5N72-T Premium is a powerful high-end motherboard which supports tri-SLI through the NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI chipset. The motherboard supports all LGA 775 socket processors in turn meaning it supports Intel Quad-core, Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Duo and Pentium CPUs with a max FSB of 1600MHz (Overclocked) or 1333MHz (normally). The motherboard also includes 4 240 pin DDR2 DIMM slots for support with dual channel DDR2 1200MHz (Overclocked) or 1066 MHz ram modules up to 8GB maximum. For SLI mode the P5N72 features 3 PCI-E Gen 2.0 x16 slots which operate as x16, x16, x8 speeds under tri-SLI mode. The board also includes a dual gigabit LAN for double network connection speed, as well as 6 USB 2.0 slots with an extra onboard USB connector for adding 4 additional slots. Extra peripheral ports also include 6 SATA 2 3GB/s ports with RAID 0/1/0+1/5/JBOD support, 8 channel analog audio outputs, IEEE 1394a, ATA100, and Optical and Coaxial S/PDIF Outputs. The P5N72 was released on May 15, 2008 and has an MSRP price of $249.
