Asus P5QL-E

The Asus P5QL-E is a mid-grade business/home office motherboard. It supports all LGA socket 775 processors including Intel Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Pentium Extreme, Pentium D, and Pentium 4 Processors. The maximum recommended FSB (Front Side Bus) frequency is 1333MHz; however 1600MHz is possible through overclocking. The P5QL-E provides no SLI or Crossfire support for advanced gaming but does include PCI-E 2.0 support (1 PCI-E x16 slot and 2 PCI-E). For memory the P5QL-E includes 4 240 pin DIMM slots with support for dual channel DDR2 1066+ ram modules up to a whopping 16GB maximum. The audio chipset is a Realtek ALC1200 and it provides 8 channel analog audio functionality. One very unique feature of the ASUS P5QL-E is the 5 second boot-up time so users can get online without waiting for an extensive period through a specially designed application known as Express Gate. The application allows browsing of E-mail, the internet, photos, music and shared content within a matter of seconds. The motherboard also features specific overclocking Bios utilities to reach the maximum perfomance levels of all installed hardware. The ASUS EPU power monitoring system cuts down the overall power consumption of the device and intelligently moderates power between all installed hardware. The P5QL-E includes support for up to 12 USB 2.0 ports (6 ports onboard with 3 connectors), IEEE 1394a, 1 eSATA, 1 optical and coaxial S/PDIF Out, 6 SATA connectors with RAID 0/1/5/10 support, and 3 PCI slots. The ASUS P5QL-E was released on September 25, 2008 and has an MSRP of $109.99.
