Asus U43JC
$1,000.00
Released July, 2010
The Pros:Bamboo-accented chassis is unique, looks great. Intel Core i5 450M processor and 4GB DDR3 RAM provide excellent performance in nearly every category save gaming. Display is extremely bright and clear with decent viewing angles for a laptop display.
The Cons:USB 3.0 isn't integrated into the motherboard, not allowing clean-install USB 3.0 component use. Comes loaded with the typical annoying bloatware.
The Asus U43JC is one of two bamboo-accented laptops (U43F, U43JC) released in summer 2010. It trades in the U43F’s third-party graphics module for a conventional Intel UMA graphics module. However, it gains access to Intel Wireless Display technology, which allows it to stream HD content to a compatible HDTV set.
