The Asus VW266H HD LCD monitor, released late in October of 2008, is 25.5 inch wide screen monitor capable of full native blu-ray resolution in 1920 x 1080. They also feature HDMI 1.3 inputs providing audio and video output from an HD source such as a computer or HD receiver. The built in speakers deliver obviate the need for external audio speakers. Capable of displaying 16.7 million different colors the monitors are equipped with a multitude of imaging features to hone pictures for a variety of applications such as gaming or viewing HD movies. The Splendid Video Intelligence Technology adapts in real time the image and color schemes in an attempt to automatically display the best picture possible. This is the widescreen version of the VK266H.

- slim bezel
- HDMI, DVI-D, and Sub-D inputs
- 3 year warranty
- good technical aspects - high contrast ratio, 2ms response time, good viewing angles considering the matrix type
- 16:10 aspect ratio, 1920x1200px resolution, more vertical pixels than full 1080 resolution
Cons
- still just a TN matrix - need to sit straight onward to enjoy the best quality picture
- stand could be better quality
- Asus is not known for their monitors
