ATI Radeon HD 4770

Introduced in mid April 2009 and release only weeks later, the Radeon HD 4770 is a middle-of-the-road graphics card by AMD/ATI. The first graphics card to be built on a 40nm process, the HD 4770 reaches new performance levels for its price point, keeping heat, and power consumption at acceptable levels. While maintaining the 128bit memory bus found on the previous generation 4670, the card's performance improvements are due to an increased GPU speed - through use of a more energy efficient fabrication - as well as improving the overall memory bandwidth through use of faster DDR5 chips first used on the higher level 4870.
