The Audio Technica QuietPoint ATH-ANC3 are high end in-ear noise cancelling headphones. Based on their award winning ATH-ANC7 noise cancelling headphones by the same company, the ATH-ANC3 have active noise cancelling of up to 20 dB by 85%, which is powered by a single AAA battery with approximately 50 hours battery life. These headphones can also be used in passive mode which has no noise cancellation and does not require a battery. In noise cancellation mode, these headphones use a microphone to pickup surrounding noise then creates a noise-cancelling wave that is 180 degrees out of phase to essentially eliminate this noise. This allows the user to fully enjoy the music they are playing without interference, or simply catch some sleep on a noisy airplane. The ATH-ANC3 is very compact and weighs only 40 grams with battery, making it ideal for travelling. The headphones are joined by an adjustable 1 m (3.3') Y-cable with control to turn noise cancelling on and off. The controller also has a "monitor" button, which allows users to quickly turn off noise cancelling to hear the outside world. Included in the package are 3 sizes of soft ear-pieces, two-pin airline adapter, 0.5m (1.6') extension cable, AAA battery and hard carrying case to protect them during transportation. The ATH-ANC3 has a frequency response of 15-22,000 Hz. Available in black or white.
