Audioengine 2 (A2) are high-quality powered speakers designed to be hooked up to your media player or computer. They are marketed as the "little brother" to the popular Audioengine A5 speakers, retailing for $150 cheaper, coming in at around $200. The A2s are made from the same materials: 1) high-gloss Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) for the cabinet, 2) kevlar mid-range drivers, 3) silk dome tweeter. The main difference is that they are 1/3 the size of their bigger sibling with less power.
