The Audiovox D1988 is a portable DVD player that supports DVD, CD, MP3, CD-R/RW and picture CD compatibility. The unit is an upgrade to the D1888, featuring a 9" LCD screen with a 16:9 image aspect ratio for widescreen graphics. It includes built-in stereo speakers and a high-capacity rechargeable battery that provides up to 3 hours of running time. The D1988 offers headphone, AV-in/out, and DC connectivity as well as a USB port and built-in 3-way card reader which the D1888 lacks. It also features parental control and anti-skip protection for smooth playback. The DVD player includes a remote control and has a 90-day limited warranty.
