Avatar: The Game

Avatar: The Game is a video game in development at Ubisoft, based on a science-fiction film directed by James Cameron. The movie and game are to be released in December, 2009. The game will incorporate 3D technology, as will the movie, introducing a new level of immersion for gamers. The movie is set in the 22nd century on Pandora, a small moon orbiting a distant planet, inhabited by humanoid creatures called Na'vi. The protagonist is a paralyzed ex-marine who takes control, through a mental link, of a human-alien hybrid on Pandora, where he falls in love with a princess and is caught up in the conflict consuming the world. The game's story may or may not be connected to that of the movie; gameplay details will surely emerge as the release date nears.
